Days of the New is a post-grunge rock band from Charlestown, Indiana (later relocated to Louisville, Kentucky), formed in 1995. They are best known for the hit singles "Touch, Peel and Stand" and "The Downtown," both from their self-titled debut album. Just one year after the original band's breakup, Meeks had assembled a new Days of the New and recorded a second album. Titled "Days of the New II", and often referred to as Green, this album was released in 1999 and had a variety of different styles of music. Many of the album's songs contained intros and codas to seamlessly carry into the next song.

Days Of The New

Dont you know it is hard to let go from the
World where youve grown
I dont want to be afraid
I dont want to fear this
I could see it your way
Dont you know that I can find this
I wont be afraid of you
I can see my hearts together
I want you to feed me too
Dont you know
Its hard to dig deep
Cant you see its hard to let go
There you go
I dont fear you
Wipe your feet
Youve walked on my territory
I dont want to see your face
